If you don't ask, you don't get.

The changing of the season can either make you feel like 'Yay, I get to wear my woolly hat and matching long johns again' or 'What's the point? I'm going to hide and wait for Christmas.' If you fall in to the second camp, this time of year can be a really good time to set an intention for yourself. Writing down a goal you have, a desire you'd like to see come to fruition can be really powerful. Simply put, an intention is something that guides action. If you've never done this before, it's a fantastic way of injecting some energy in to your wishes and dreams and keeping a little motivation going in the winter months. So, have a think about what it is that you want and why. You might want a promotion by a certain time or receive a particular income over the next year. Be specific and clear and in a few lines, write down what you want, and the reason you think it will be a good thing for you to receive it.

Then forget about it. So, you can burn the piece of paper, throw it in some water or squirrel it away between the pages of a book for you to find in years to come. The power comes in you writing it down.
