I think this is a great insight in to how it feels for many of us at work. The To do list never seems to get any shorter and so we rarely get that feeling of having accomplished anything. In his book 'How to be a Productivity Ninja', Graham Allcott makes the point that in a world where the volume of information is constantly increasing, it's impossible to get it all done. And, that once we acknowledge that it's not about how we manage our time but what we put our attention on, we can start to improve our productivity and really feel like we're getting somewhere.

It's a great book, with lots of practical techniques for organising yourself in the most productive way, from how best to prioritise your workload to keeping your inbox at a steady zero!
