What you put in, is what you get out.

It's really easy for us to sit and moan and whinge about why things are going wrong. How if only, such and such had helped us out that one time, blah blah had given us a bit more of their time, then everything would have been so much better for us. So much easier. And would it have killed that girl behind the coffee counter to give me a smile? Or is it too much to ask for a certain someone to call and see how we are? After all, it's really hard being us sometimes!

If we feel like we're having a tough time, it's easy for things to get a bit 'me, me, me.'. We forget that maybe there might be someone standing right in front of us who could really do with a smile at that moment or a helpful gesture. Can you switch off from your own problems for five minutes and give your attention to someone else who might really need it? Ask yourself the question, is your position open or closed?

After all, what you put in, is what you get out.
